By Road From the North and East (via M5) Leave the M5 Motorway at Junction 30. Take the third exit (A379) and follow the signposted route to the University. See also City map (54Kb). From the West (via A30) Leave the A30 at the Dawlish and Marsh Barton turning. Turn left at the large roundabout into Alphington Spur, which becomes Alphington Road. You will pass through several sets of traffic lights, pass under a railway bridge, over more traffic lights and then up to a very large roundabout. Leave at the third exit (Bonhay Road). Follow this until just past Exeter St. David's station, where you come to a small roundabout. Turn sharp right into St. David's Hill. Take the second left into Hele Road. At the end of this, turn left again into New North Road. Take the second right into Streatham Drive, fork right into Prince of Wales Road. Follow this along until it drops into a dip with a right hand bend at the bottom. Turn left at the bottom of the dip into Stocker Road.
Bus From Exeter Bus Station and Exeter High Street The D bus service takes 9 minutes to the University Streatham Campus. Bus services run every 15 minutes from the bus station and High Street to the University campus. Alight at the top of The Queen's Drive. From Exeter St David's railway station There is no bus service direct to the University from St David's Station. Taxi's are available outside the station (5 minute ride) or you can walk up the hill to the Campus (10 minutes). For other bus or coach services: Stagecoach First Devon and Cornwall National Express
By Rail Main Line Station Exeter St David's, the hub of Devon's rail network, and Exeter Central. Frequent direct services operate to Paddington and Waterloo stations in London. A typical journey from London to Exeter takes as little as 2 hours 15 minutes, and from the Midlands as little as 2 hours 30 minutes. See By Bus section for bus connections from these train stations. By Air Most international flights arrive at London Heathrow (180 miles from Exeter), however, there are several flights daily from Paris and Amsterdam to Bristol Airport (66 miles from Exeter). The closest airport to Exeter University is Exeter Airport which has routes from Leeds, Liverpool, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Belfast, Dublin, Jersey, Guernsey, Brest, Paris (Charles de Gaulle), Alicante, Malaga, Faro. Further information is available from http://www.exeter-airport.co.uk From Exeter Airport Follow the A30 and the road signs towards Exeter city centre and the University. From Bristol Airport Take the bus from Bristol Airport to Bristol Temple Meads railway station. The bus runs every 20 minutes and the journey takes about 25 minutes. From Bristol Temple Meads station there are regular trains to Exeter St David's (one per hour on average). Train journey takes about 1 hour. From Heathrow Airport There are about 12 National Express coaches a day between Heathrow Airport and Exeter bus station. The journey time is between 3.5 and 4 hours. The Heathrow Express train departs Heathrow Airport for London Paddington rail station every 15 minutes. Journey time is between 15 and 23 minutes. A typical journey from Paddington to Exeter St David's takes as little as 2 hours 15 minutes.
